Valmira Hyseni is a producer and director based in Prishtina, Kosovo. She has two degrees: in Film Directing and also in Law, both at the University of Prishtina.
Valmira is the co-founder and CEO of the emerging production company Plan Bee Films. She is a board member of the “Producer’s Association of Kosovo”.

Over 10 years of experience in the film industry, her producing credits include tens of shorts, features, and documentaries, combining hundreds of festival selections including Toronto IFF, San Sebastian IFF, Cairo IFF, Torino IFF, Busan IFF, and many many more.
Currently, she is producing the feature film “The Odyssey of Joy”, directing the short "Keep Going", co-producing and co-directing a documentary feature “The 50th and 1⁄2 State”, while also co-producing a couple of international features.
Holding a BA and MA from the University of Pristina in Film and TV directing, Zgjim is also a prolific screenwriter.
Having written over 250 episodes for TV and tens of short films, he also works as a script consultant.
His shorts A Month (2017) and Salon (2019), traveled to over 100 film festivals including 39th Cairo IFF, 42nd Atlanta FF,

Recently was a collaborating writer to the short Displaced (2021), which competed for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival and won best short film at Sundance and Toronto.
Currently he is working on his first feature film “The Odyssey of Joy”; which was selected for the Berlinale Script Station, Torino Film Lab, and won a few awards including CNC Development Award of €8000 given by the Thessaloniki International Film Festival.
